Clean energy is now cheaper than fossil fuels and widely available. We back the founders turning that fact into a universal energy transition, from grid-scale storage to the software running Europe's installers.
The cost curve has done its job. The bottlenecks now sit elsewhere: curtailment and negative prices on sunny afternoons, multi-year queues for grid connections, and an installer base that can't scale with demand. Each of them is a market waiting for the right product, and each is underserved at Pre-seed and Seed. That is where we invest.

Lead
Kosta combines strong theoretical foundations with extensive practical experience. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Maastricht University and a Master’s degree in Strategy and Innovation from Yonsei University. Early in his career, he gained diverse experience on both sides of the investment table, including roles at startups such as Learnity and Infarm, as well as with investors including Rheingau Founders and Wayra.
Kosta joined PT1 in 2020 and has since been an integral member of the investment team. Today, he serves as a Partner at PT1, where he leads the investment team and is a member of the Investment Committee.
At PT1, Kosta acts as the “Theme Captain” for infrastructure resilience investments. In this role, he regularly publishes industry articles, speaks at industry conferences, and organizes events focused on the topic.
Outside of work, Kosta is an ambitious athlete, particularly passionate about bouldering and running, and is almost always in preparation for his next marathon. He enjoys spending his holidays in Greece and speaks the language as well.

Co-Lead
Simran is an Investment Associate at PT1, based in the London office. She works across the full investment lifecycle, sourcing and evaluating opportunities, executing transactions, and supporting portfolio companies post-investment.
Prior to joining PT1, Simran was an early employee at DoorFeed, a UK-based PropTech startup, wearing multiple hats across product, operations, finance and strategy. Her role included leading the company's first new country launch, working on the first bolt-on acquisition, and co-ordinating a cross functional team towards a series of major product launches.
Before this, Simran was an Associate in the Investment Banking Division at J.P. Morgan, working on M&A and Capital Markets transactions for Industrials companies. Notable transactions included advising on HomeServe's sale to Brookfield Infrastructure Partners and FirstGroup's divestiture of First Student and First Transit to EQT Infrastructure.
Simran holds an Economics degree from the University of Cambridge.
Outside of work, Simran enjoys being active; through weekly spin classes, amateur tennis and padel tournaments, and - when lucky - a race down the ski slopes. She is also a keen traveller and has explored many parts of the world solo.
