Biography
Dr. Tim Meyer: For over 25 years, Tim Meyer has been developing new businesses, products and technologies in the field of renewable energy and integrated energy solutions. A qualified electrical engineer, he has been a staunch advocate of a 100% renewable and decentralized energy system since completing his studies in the early 1990s. His career path took him through technology development and strategic marketing at Fraunhofer ISE and later into industry, holding positions as Managing Director in project development and renewable energy services, as well as Chief Technology Officer, before moving into the energy sector. Following the acquisition of a startup he founded, he most recently served as a board member at Naturstrom AG, focusing on project development and end-customer supply for decentralised electricity and heat generation. Since 2022, Tim Meyer has been working with 3EPunkt as a consultant for companies in the energy sector and renewable energy industry. Through his books, lectures and on LinkedIn, he explains the background, global market trends and economic opportunities of the energy transition.
